Voice wake setting desyncs from UI after full charge — remote wakes on sound, toggle shows wrong state

Environment

  • Astrion firmware: 1.4.2
  • RosCard: 1.4.2
  • Astrion Home: 1.4.2

Issue Description

After the remote reaches a full charge on the dock, it begins waking the screen in response to ambient sound. This appears to be voice wake activating without user action.

The settings UI shows the wake toggle as deactivated, but the behaviour indicates it is active — so the displayed state does not reflect the actual state.

Steps observed

  1. Remote charges to 100% on the dock
  2. Screen begins waking when it picks up sound in the room
  3. Wake toggle in settings displays as deactivated
  4. Pressing it once produces no visible change
  5. Pressing it a second time makes it display as activated

This suggests the first press corrected the desync — the setting was actually on while displaying off — and the second press turned it genuinely on.

Side effect: after these presses, the raise-to-wake option is found deactivated and has to be manually re-enabled. It’s unclear whether the two settings are linked internally.

Expected Behaviour

  • Wake settings persist across a full charge cycle
  • The UI toggle reflects the actual state
  • Toggling one wake option does not silently change another

Actual Behaviour

  • Wake behaviour changes after full charge without user action
  • Toggle displays a state that contradicts observed behaviour, needing two presses to resync
  • Raise-to-wake is disabled as a side effect

Notes

  • Only observed after a full charge. Not yet tested with partial charges.
  • Unclear whether the root cause is the voice wake setting or the raise-to-wake setting.
