Today we’re officially releasing UltraWorkspace, the desktop software for UltraBARX.

This is an important milestone for UltraBARX.
From the beginning, we didn’t want UltraBARX to become another fixed-function controller where everything is decided for you.
The idea has always been:
An interface that evolves with you.
UltraWorkspace is the software layer that makes that possible.
What can you do with UltraWorkspace?
You can currently use it to:
Configure your CoreBAR
Design and arrange the interface on the 7" ultra-wide display.
Configure your physical modules
Set up VivoCube, DotKey, KnobKey and SenseCube according to your workflow.
Create Profiles
Create different workspaces for different contexts — coding, creative work, gaming, smart home, AI, streaming, and whatever else you come up with.
Configure SceneShift™
Allow the interface to respond to different contexts and workflows.
Work with QuantumLink™
Configure and expand your physical interface with magnetic modules.
Connect your existing ecosystem
Home Assistant, PC controls, Sonos, Spotify and more.
And now it’s on GitHub
This is perhaps the most important part.
We’re making UltraWorkspace available through GitHub so that the software can evolve together with the community.
We’re not going to pretend that we already know every workflow people will want.
In fact, we don’t.
And that’s exactly the point.
You may use UltraBARX in a way we never anticipated.
You may find a better way to organize a workspace.
You may want an integration we’ve never considered.
You may discover a bug that we never encountered internally.
Please tell us.
That’s how UltraBARX should evolve.
Before You Install
A few important notes for this first release:

Windows is currently the primary supported desktop platform.

Use a data-capable USB-C cable when connecting CoreBAR to your PC.

Make sure CoreBAR has sufficient power, especially when magnetic modules are attached.

For USB-C PD operation, 30W or higher is recommended when using multiple modules.

Please follow the documented firmware update procedure carefully.

This is an early release, so some features and workflows are still evolving.
If you encounter a problem, please post it here or open an issue on GitHub.
Don’t worry about reporting something that seems “too small.”
Sometimes the smallest problems tell us the most about how people actually use the system.
What We’d Love to See From You
Once you’ve installed UltraWorkspace, we’d love to see:
What does your UltraBARX look like?
What did you put on your CoreBAR?
Which physical modules do you use?
What Profiles did you create?
What does your workspace look like when you’re coding?
What about gaming?
Home Assistant?
AI?
Music?
Streaming?
Or something completely different?
You don’t need to build something “impressive.”
Even a simple setup tells us something.
Share it with the community.
Post a screenshot.
Share a configuration.
Tell us what you changed.
Tell us what didn’t work.
Tell us what you wish it could do.
The software is now in your hands.
We’re going to keep building UltraBARX.
But from this point forward, we don’t want to build it alone.
Your interface.
Your workflow.
Your workspace.
