## 1. Product Colors & Color Options
### Q: What color options are available?
**A:** The product offers the following color options:
| Type | Color | Additional Cost |
|------|-------|----------------|
| Body Standard Color | Deep Space Gray | Free |
| Body Standard Color | Silver | Free |
| Body Premium Color | White | +$8 |
| Body Premium Color | Blue | +$12 (CoreBar) / +$8 (Other versions) |
| Button Color | Black / Silver | Free |
> Note: The first production batch focuses on Deep Space Gray. White and other colors are being considered for future production.
### Q: Why do some color options require additional payment?
**A:** The initial crowdfunding campaign only planned one body color (Dark Gray). Due to enthusiastic backer feedback, the team expanded to four complete color options. White and Blue require additional custom processing and color matching, resulting in附加成本. Silver and Dark Gray remain free.
### Q: Can I customize button colors?
**A:** Yes! DotKey buttons are available in Black and Silver. In the pre-shipment survey, you can lock in your final selection.
### Q: How do I choose the color for the Christmas Mystery Box?
**A:** The Christmas Mystery Box is now available as an add-on option:
- Dark Gray and Silver: No extra charge
- Blue and White: +$8
The mystery box will match the color of your main order.
### Q: Can I see photos of the actual product colors?
**A:** Since the product is still in production, there are no physical units available yet. Once production is completed, the team will release photos and live images of all color variants.
## 2. Hardware Specs & System
### Q: What operating system does the product use?
**A:** UltraBar runs **LineOS** — a proprietary operating system deeply customized by the team based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project) for desktop interaction scenarios. It is not a direct fork of LineageOS.
LineOS Features:
- Core apps optimized for bar-shaped screens
- Embedded API service layer (supporting Home Assistant, Philips Hue, Sonos)
- Future dedicated UltraBar app store ecosystem
### Q: Does the power adapter support global use?
**A:** Yes! The product includes a DC 12V power adapter with interchangeable plugs (US, EU, China). The CoreBar’s USB-C port also supports PD fast charging, allowing you to use your own PD-compatible charger or power bank.
### Q: Can USB-C be used for video output as a secondary monitor?
**A:** The current USB-C port doesn’t support direct video connection (no USB 4/5 support). The team is evaluating adding an HDMI-IN chip to the Android motherboard for secondary screen functionality, but this hasn’t been finalized yet. A daughterboard solution may be implemented in the future.

## 3. Features & Integrations
### Q: Does the product support AIDA64?
**A:** Yes! UltraBar fully supports AIDA64. Through the Windows companion app, CoreBar can read system monitoring data (CPU/GPU temps, load, fan speeds, etc.) directly from AIDA64’s shared memory and display it on screen in real-time.
### Q: Does it support Home Assistant?
**A:** Yes! UltraBar natively supports Home Assistant, with deeper control available through LineOS firmware updates.
### Q: Does it support Nanoleaf smart lights?
**A:** Yes! There are two ways:
1. **Via Home Assistant**: Add Nanoleaf lights to HA and control them directly from UltraBar screen
2. **Via LineOS**: Direct support through software update
### Q: Can it control TVs/projectors?
**A:** Yes! Through Home Assistant integration, you can control supported TVs including LG. For example, LG G4 TV power and other functions can be controlled via HA.
### Q: Can it wake up a TV (not just a PC)?
**A:** Yes, this can be achieved through Home Assistant integration.
### Q: Does it support Wake-on-LAN?
**A:** You can send WOL commands directly from CoreBar without Home Assistant. One requirement: You need a USB-C to Ethernet adapter (CoreBar doesn’t have an Ethernet port). Note: The device must be on the same wired LAN as the target device for reliable operation.
### Q: Can it run independently when the computer is off?
**A:** Yes! CoreBar is an independent Android device. Even when your computer is off, its core functions (like controlling smart lights, stereos, or running automations) remain fully active. It’s designed to be the always-on intelligent hub of your desk.
### Q: What languages are supported?
**A:** Multi-language support is planned, including:
- **GUI Translation**: Language packs delivered via software updates, community translation contributions welcome
- **Cyrillic Support**: Russian text display has been tested and confirmed to work correctly
- **Voice Assistant**: Supports recognition for multiple languages, will be enabled gradually through updates
### Q: Does it support Linux?
**A:** Yes! The team plans:
1. Build configuration software using Qt cross-platform framework; official Linux client is core to the development roadmap
2. Hardware uses standard USB and HID protocols, essentially plug-and-play
3. Will provide complete open API and SDK
### Q: Does it support state-aware system controls (like showing mic mute status)?
**A:** Planned! This is a high-priority feature. Future CoreBar will be able to:
- Display real-time status of microphone, camera, DND, VPN
- Toggle these settings directly from the screen
- Achieve bidirectional communication through PC companion app
### Q: Does it support KVM switching functionality?
**A:** Requires a dedicated KVM control module connected to CoreBar via Bluetooth Mesh. Users can manage KVM operations directly from CoreBar interface and one-touch computer switching. Specific specifications (number of monitors and computers supported) haven’t been finalized yet.
### Q: Does it support professional users (Business/Power-User mode)?
**A:** Planned! While not in the initial release, “Power-User mode” is a clear high-priority product roadmap objective, including:
- Minimal animations and maximum responsiveness
- Clear action confirmations
- Predictable UI behavior
- Optimized information density display
### Q: How does SenseCube presence sensing work?
