Clarification Regarding the Actual Progress of the RS90 / RS90x Smart Remote Project
Dear Supporters,
Following a recent public update issued by the Cantata (Haptique) team, which contained statements concerning production arrangements and project progress, we believe it is necessary to provide a factual clarification to ensure transparency for the global community supporting the RS90 project.
Sanytron serves as the entrusted design and manufacturing partner for the RS90 smart remote, and we would like to present the situation based on verifiable contractual and operational facts.
- Business Relationship Between Sanytron and Cantata
Sanytron is a professional provider of smart hardware design and manufacturing solutions. We were formally commissioned by Cantata to deliver comprehensive services for the RS90 smart remote project, including:
Hardware engineering and system architecture
Firmware development
Industrial Design (ID) execution
Tooling preparation and mass production
The RS90’s industrial design and engineering implementation were carried out under Sanytron’s leadership. Over the past 22 months, our R&D and manufacturing teams have invested substantial resources to overcome technical challenges and advance the product toward commercial delivery in accordance with the agreed project scope.
- Ownership and Intellectual Property Rights
Under the entrusted design and manufacturing agreement executed between both parties, the transfer of product ownership and intellectual property rights is subject to clearly defined contractual conditions.
Specifically, ownership transfer to Cantata is contingent upon:
Fulfillment of the agreed production order quantities; and
Settlement of all corresponding contractual payments.
As of the date of this statement, these contractual conditions have not been fully satisfied. Consequently, in accordance with the agreement, the ownership of the RS90 product design, tooling assets, and related inventory remains with Sanytron.
- Clarification Regarding Inventory Status
Recent public statements suggested that inventory had been “blocked.” We consider this characterization inaccurate and wish to clarify the factual situation.
Outstanding Contractual Payments
Certain contractual payments relating to completed production and associated project costs remain outstanding as of the date of this statement. Under standard commercial and manufacturing practice, goods for which agreed payments have not been fully settled remain under the custody and control of the manufacturing party until contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Good-Faith Support Provided
Notwithstanding the outstanding financial obligations, Sanytron has continued to store and safeguard the completed inventory for an extended period without imposing warehousing or holding fees, in good faith and with the intention of supporting an amicable resolution. This arrangement has required Sanytron to absorb ongoing operational and capital costs while awaiting settlement.
Independent Business Decisions
Any actions taken by Sanytron concerning other product models represent independent business decisions based on Sanytron’s own technologies and intellectual property. These activities are unrelated to the RS90 inventory and should not be interpreted as obstruction or interference.
- Our Position
Sanytron remains committed to professional integrity, contractual compliance, and constructive cooperation. We retain complete documentation—including contractual agreements, payment records, and communication history—demonstrating our continuous fulfillment of obligations under the partnership.
We regret that project supporters have been affected by a commercial dispute between project stakeholders. Our primary objective remains the responsible and lawful resolution of outstanding matters while protecting the interests of all involved parties.
Sanytron reserves all legal rights available under applicable law, including remedies relating to contractual breaches or reputational harm.
Sincerely,
Sanytron Team
