Hey all,
I’ve been trying to get the IR functionality of the Astrion HA100A working with my Philips 70" Ambilight TV, but so far to no avail. The config was pretty easy, however in the IR-list Philips televisions are still relatively unpopulated (5 options of which 1 universal). I tried the universal labeled [Official], but this only has 4 commands listed in the TV card. On to the road of custom IR codes it was:
I had Gemini list possible options for the IR code and have tried 23 different IR-codes for the most mundane actions (Power and Volume Up), yet none of them work/respond to the television.
In order to check the remote was pushing out a signal I used my phone camera to make sure there is an IR-pulse being transmitted, which is the case. Entering 000 in the Custom IR-box and testing results in no pulse so the set-up is all in order (apart from the IR code itself).
Unfortunately I don’t have an IR-receiver or other way of learning the custom IR-code.
What’s the best way of going about finding the right IR-codes for this television (and probably more Philips televisions along the way)?
Secondary question, why doesn’t Astrion use the IR-code lists as is usually the case with universal third-party remotes you buy at the shops? (The 4/5 digit-codes you see in the lists).
